Approximately one year from the 9/11/01 World Trade Center tragedy, we relocated our residency to upstate New York outside a quiet, small country town named Andes. We have 17 glorious acres of land with a stream running along the front portion of our property. We like to think of it as "Our Little Piece of Heaven". We have various wildlife inhabitants roaming our property including deer, bear, raccoons, porcipines, woodchucks, turkeys, various colorful species of birds, chipmunks and squirrels to name a few. We have found ourselves becoming quite the "country folks" when we began to raise chickens (boy those brown eggs are the best!), roosters and Peking ducks who daily grace our stream splashing and swimming and having a great old time!
My intrigue with the Victorian Era began in 1986. It began when my husband, Peter and I found ourselves frequenting Victorian Shops during our yearly vacations. As the years went by our 1870's Victorian Style home located in Staten Island, New York began to grow into a "Victorian Gingerbread House". It was adorned with awesome colorful brick brack designs on the outside which was personally designed and built by my husband.
It has always been a dream of mine to own a Victorian Shop. I began to imagine the reality of that dream when we moved to upstate New York. I decided to open up a web site using a portion of our home as an office and shipping center. I realized that it would be a more profitable success and reach a broader spectrum of customer base with operating a web site and storefront than actually opening up a physical storefront in a small country town.
The method to my madness was that I wouldn't have to leave the comforts of my home to open a business and that I wouldn't need to journey to far from our "Little Piece of Heaven" on those cold wintry days or on those glorious and beautiful spring, summer and fall days.
So this is where it begins. I hope you enjoy browsing through my web site. Sit back, relax and enjoy yourself. It is my sincere hope that you will find something that sparks your interests. It is also my hope that you will return time and time again.
His creations were formulated during our vacation tours of the many beautiful Victorian mansions located in Cape M ay, New Jersey. I had acquired over the years from our shopping sprees many Victorian collectibles adorning every nook and crany of our home.
